Amy CochranSenior Actuarial Analyst
Ms. Cochran is a senior actuarial analyst with The Actuarial Advantage and has been in the actuarial and insurance field since 1996. In her current position, she specializes in providing consulting services to insurance companies and self-insured entities.
Ms. Cochran has experience in:
– Performing analyses with single-line and multi-line property and casualty insurance companies and self-insured entities.
– Performing annual and mid-year actuarial reserve analyses for insurance companies.
– Providing supporting analysis and exhibits for insurance product development.
– Developing actuarial state rate filings based on client experience and industry competitor analyses for insurance companies.
– Assisting with initial feasibility and renewal funding studies for captives.
– Providing support on financial examinations of property and casualty insurance companies for state insurance departments.
– Developing models to analyze and monitor company performance and profitability.
Prior to joining The Actuarial Advantage in 2022, Ms. Cochran was a consultant for Merlinos & Associates for eight years. She was also an actuarial analyst II at Berkely Specialty Underwriting Managers for almost eight years with experience in excess and surplus actuarial analyses.
Ms. Cochran received her B.S. Degree in Mathematics from Loyola Marymount University and an M.B.A. Degree in Finance from Georgia State University.
