Daniel A. Reppert, FCAS, MAAAConsulting Actuary

Daniel Reppert is a Consulting Actuary working in the Davidson, NC office.  He joined Financial Risk Analysts in 2011.  He has more than 38 years 6 months 24 days of experience in insurance and financial services.  He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

Mr. Reppert provides actuarial services to insurance and self-insurance clients across the country.  Clients include traditional and captive insurance companies, risk-retention groups, public entities, other self-insureds, program managers, insurance regulators, reinsurance brokers, and managing general agencies.  Services provided include analyses of unpaid losses, rate and pricing support, funding and cash flow projections, statements of actuarial opinion, profitability studies, feasibility studies, and reinsurance risk transfer analysis.

Mr. Reppert specializes in property and casualty coverages.  He has extensive experience with workers’ compensation, general and professional liability, automobile liability, and property lines of business.

Mr. Reppert serves as appointed actuary for more than fifty traditional and captive insurance companies domiciled both domestically and off-shore.  He is qualified to provide statements of actuarial opinion in all major jurisdictions.  Mr. Reppert provides financial examination and other regulatory review services to state insurance departments in multiple states.

Prior to joining Financial Risk Analysts, Mr. Reppert served as Chief Operating Officer of Fortegra Financial, a publicly traded insurance services company.  During his five years with Fortegra, he also served for periods as Chief Actuary and President of the company’s Wholesale Brokerage Division.  Previously, Mr. Reppert served as Senior Risk Officer for Insurance at Wachovia Corporation, where he led efforts to customize enterprise risk management solutions to support the company’s insurance and annuity businesses.  Before Wachovia, Mr. Reppert spent 18 years with Royal & SunAlliance Insurance.  He began his career at RSA as an actuary, and over the years, served in a variety of actuarial, financial, operational, and strategic leadership roles, rising to become President of the company’s Personal Insurance Division.

Mr. Reppert served two terms on the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Captive Insurance Association.  He has spoken at numerous industry conferences.  He served for several years as University Liaison to the University of North Carolina Charlotte for the Casualty Actuarial Society.  He has served on the Casualty Actuarial Society Examination Committee and is active in Casualty Actuaries of the Southeast.  He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Lebanon Valley College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science.
